Tiago Bilhim

Graduated from Medical School at the Nova Medical School in Lisbon in 2004, and did his PhD on prostatic artery embolisation in 2011. He is currently working in interventional radiology at Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Lisboa Central, Saint Louis Hospital and CUF Hospital in Lisbon. He is also a professor of anatomy and radiology at the Nova Medical School, and a CIRSE and an SIR Fellow. His research interests include prostatic and uterine artery embolisation, hepatobiliary and oncology interventions and diabetic foot revascularisation. Served as a reviewer and associate editor for JVIR from 2017-2020. 

Joo-Young Chun

Joo-Young Chun is a consultant interventional radiologist at St George’s Hospital in London and an honorary senior lecturer at City St George’s, University of London. Her research interests include management of endoleaks, peripheral arterial disease, haemoptysis, major trauma and uterine fibroids. She is Principal Investigator and
Co-Investigator in several clinical trials.

She is currently a member of the CIRSE Scientific Programme Committee, Clinical Services in IR Task Force, and CALCIO trial Steering Committee. She has served as an Associate Editor for CVIR Endovascular, Editor-in-Chief of EBIR Exam Council, and member of the Standards of Practice Committee. She was the BSIR Education and Training Committee Chair and an FRCR 2B examiner for the Royal College of Radiologists.

Raman Uberoi

Raman Uberoi studied medicine at Cambridge University and has been a consultant interventional radiologist for 20 years. He is a member of several CIRSE committees, as the EBIR Committee Chairperson and a member of the Standards of Practice Committee. Prof. Uberoi's specialisation includes aortic and iliac stenting, SVC stenting, internal iliac artery embolisations, surveillance following EVAR and gastrostomy.

Stevo Duvnjak

Dr. Stevo Duvnjak serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Vascular Surgery at Rigshospitalet, Denmark. He has completed two specialties, Interventional Radiology and Vascular Surgery, with a focus on aneurysm treatment and a broad spectrum of embolization procedures. Dr. Duvnjak obtained his medical degree from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1999. He subsequently completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology from 2002 to 2006, with a dedicated focus on Interventional Vascular Radiology and endovascular surgical techniques beginning in 2006. From 2019 to 2024, he undertook comprehensive residency training in Vascular Surgery at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark, where he currently practices as a consultant vascular surgeon.

Ignacio Díaz-Lorenzo

Dr. Ignacio Díaz-Lorenzo studied medicine at the Universidad de Navarra and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is currently Senior Consultant Vascular and Interventional Radiologist at La Princesa University Hospital and Clínica Universidad de Navarra, in Madrid. He holds EBIR certification, has served as a reviewer for CVIR since 2018 with several outstanding reviewer recognitions, and is also a CIRSE Fellow. His main areas of interest include liver interventional oncology, prostatic and uterine artery embolization, and venous revascularization, with a particular focus in recent years on the management of acute pulmonary embolism.

Prof. José A. Guirola earned his medical degree from the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala and completed his radiology and interventional radiology training at Hospital Clínico Universitario Lozano Blesa in Zaragoza, Spain. He obtained his PhD in 2019, focusing on mechanical thrombectomy for pulmonary embolism. His research interests include embolotherapy, venous interventions, and minimally invasive oncologic treatments. He is Full Professor of Radiology at the University of Zaragoza and Head of the Interventional Radiology Unit at Hospital Clínico Universitario Lozano Blesa. He is a CIRSE Fellow, a member of the CIRSE Scientific Committee, past president of the Scientific Committee of SERVEI (2021–2025), and Secretary of the Board of SIDI (2021–2025).

She is a specialist in radiology and holds the DeGIR/DGNR level 2 certification for interventional radiology/neuroradiology. Her research focuses on catheter-based therapies for diseases of the cerebral vessels.

Anne Marie Cahill

Anne Marie Cahill is the division chief of pediatric IR at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the endowed chair of interventional radiology. In 2022, she became a full professor of radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania and is currently the president of the Society of Pediatric Interventional Radiology. Her interventional interests are broad and include vascular malformation therapy, innovative techniques for IR guided biopsy for precision oncology and endovascular intervention for renovascular hypertension.

Tom Boeken

Tom Boeken graduated from École Polytechnique (engineering school) in 2011 and earned his Medical Doctor degree with a specialty in Radiology from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, in 2021. He completed his PhD at École Polytechnique focusing on interventional radiology and predictive modeling for oncological treatments. Tom currently serves as an Assistant Professor in interventional vascular and oncological radiology at Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou in Paris. His research interests include artificial intelligence in radiology, image-guided oncological interventions, and predictive analytics for treatment response. He joined the editorial board of CVIR in 2023. 

Miltiadis Krokidis

Miltiadis Krokidis is the vascular and interventional radiology consultant at the School of Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Areteion Hospital. He has served in various positions in major European radiological societies and he is the president-elect of the Hellenic Medical Society of the UK.

Gareth Bydawell

Gareth Bydawell is an Interventional Radiologist based at Lake, Smit & Partners, and an Honorary Lecturer at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital in Durban. He is the current President of the South African Society of Interventional Radiology Society (SAINTS). He completed his medical degree at the University Of Cape Town in 1998, and specialized in Radiology at St George’s Hospital in London, as well as a one year IR fellowship at St George’s Hospital. Member of CIRSE and SIR overseas interventional societies, and obtained the EBIR diploma in Vienna in 2014.
He is part of an enthusiastic IR team at Lake, Smit & Partners, a thriving IR referral centre for the whole of KZN, offering a broad range of procedures. Special interests include interventional oncology, image guided thermal ablation and radial interventions such as UFE and PAE.

Gerard Goh

Toshihiru Iguchi

Toshihiro Iguchi is a Professor in the Department of Radiological Technology, Faculty of Health Sciences, Okayama University, Japan. He has been a board-certified interventional radiologist in Japan since 2005. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and is highly recognized for his contributions as a reviewer, receiving multiple Outstanding Reviewer Awards from CVIR (2023, 2024), JVIR (2019–2021), Japanese Journal of Radiology (2022), and Interventional Radiology (Higashimatsuyama) (2023).

Joaquim Motta-Leal-Filho joined CVIR’s team of editors in 2019. He is currently professor of the Department of radiology and oncology of the Medical School of the University of São Paulo (USP) and Vice-President of the Brazilian Society of Interventional Radiology (SOBRICE). He was part of the team that developed the prostatic artery embolisation technique, his greatest contribution to the specialty. 

Ethel Rivas Zuleta

Ethel G. Rivas Zuleta is an interventional radiologist with over 13 years of experience and the first  interventional radiologist in El Salvador , Central America. She established the first Interventional Radiology Department within the Salvadoran Social Security system, where she currently serves as director. Dr. Rivas Zuleta is also a postgraduate professor of Radiology and currently holds the position of President of the Ibero-American Society of Interventional Radiology (SIDI). Her work has been instrumental in advancing the field of interventional radiology in the region.

Refaat Salman joined CVIR's team of editors in 2021. He is currently a consultant vascular and interventional radiologist at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh. His main interest and expertise is in the field of peripheral vascular diseases and related interventions.

Ajit K. Yadav

Dr. Ajit Yadav is the Vice Chair of the Department of Interventional Radiology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi, India. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and delivered over 100 faculty lectures at national and international Interventional Radiology conferences. He served as Secretary of the Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR, 2022–2025), was President of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association, Delhi Chapter (IRIA Delhi, 2024), and currently represents India in the Asia Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR). His expertise includes oncological, vascular, and lymphatic interventions, and he is widely recognized for advancing minimally invasive therapies and academic growth in Interventional Radiology.

Chang Jin Yoon

Chang Jin Yoon is currently associate professor of the Department of Radiology at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. Dr. Yoon has published a significant number of published papers, book chapters and presentations and has received a Certificate of Merit award from RSNA, a Cum Laude award from CIRSE and an Award for outstanding international publication from the Korean Radiological Society.
