CIRSE 2019 featured a dedicated session for the first data realease of several trials and studies on endovascular treatment, in which the authors themselves presented the preliminary results. Two of these first data releases have been published in CVIR and are now freely available to read.
One paper is an analysis on patient-level data from two large studies of the Zilver PTX drug-eluting stent (DES), and the second paper is a real-world study about long-term mortality of patients treated by high-dose paclitaxel-coated balloon vs plain balloon angioplasty.
Both are a must-see for all endovascular specialists. Enjoy the read!
